Geelong and its suburbs
Our base is in North Geelong, so the suburbs around the city are close to home for our electricians. We work in East Geelong, North Geelong, South Geelong, Geelong West, Newtown, Manifold Heights, Hamlyn Heights, Herne Hill, Highton, Wandana Heights, Newcomb, Fyansford, Belmont, Bell Park, Bell Post Hill and Whittington. Our Geelong electrician page covers the city itself.
The homes here range from older houses near the city centre to the post-war streets of Belmont and the newer homes on the edges. In Newtown, the older houses keep us busy with lighting, switchboards and fault finding, while power points, safety switches and fault finding lead in Geelong West, and safety switches and lighting in Highton. If your home still has its original switchboard, it is worth having it checked before you add new circuits, a heater or an EV charger.
Talk to a licensed Geelong electrician (REC 30925).
North and West: Corio to Lara, Little River, Golden Plains and Werribee
North of the city we cover Corio, Norlane and Moorabool, then up the highway to Lara and Little River, a station township near the You Yangs, and inland to Anakie and Staughton Vale. In Corio and Norlane, many of the homes date from the post-war years, and switchboard and safety switch work leads what we do there.
To the west we work in Batesford and the Golden Plains towns of Bannockburn, Teesdale, Inverleigh, Shelford (a rural village on the Leigh River), Lethbridge and Meredith, and in Steiglitz and Sutherlands Creek.
We also take jobs in Werribee and Werribee South, in the City of Wyndham rather than Greater Geelong, about halfway between Melbourne and Geelong on the Princes Highway, and in neighbouring Hoppers Crossing and nearby Wyndham Vale and Manor Lakes.
Southern suburbs and the Bellarine Peninsula
On the southern edge of the city we cover Grovedale, Waurn Ponds, Mount Duneed, Charlemont and Armstrong Creek. Charlemont and Armstrong Creek are part of the Armstrong Creek growth area, so most homes there are newer. In a newer home, adding power points, outdoor lights or an EV charger is usually simple if the switchboard has spare room.
Across the Bellarine Peninsula we work in Leopold, Curlewis, Drysdale, Clifton Springs, Portarlington, Indented Head, St Leonards, Queenscliff, Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads. We have completed more than 85 jobs on the peninsula since our records began in March 2026, more than 30 of them in Leopold, and our Bellarine Peninsula electrician page covers the whole peninsula.
Each suburb in the lists above has its own page with the work we do there and the questions locals ask us.
The Surf Coast: Torquay, Jan Juc, Anglesea and Winchelsea
On the Surf Coast we cover Torquay, Jan Juc, Anglesea and Freshwater Creek, and inland Winchelsea. Since our records began in March 2026 we have completed more than 20 jobs in Torquay, Jan Juc, Anglesea and Freshwater Creek, most often fault finding, switchboard work and safety switches.
- Torquay is in the Surf Coast Shire, and had 18,534 people at the 2021 Census. Fault finding, switchboards and safety switches lead our more than 10 jobs there, with surge protection too.
- Jan Juc sits next to Torquay across Spring Creek and was developed from the mid-1960s, so many homes are old enough for a switchboard and wiring check.
- Anglesea is a bush-fringed town at the start of the Great Ocean Road. Our jobs there have included a security camera system with a video doorbell, outdoor lighting, and switchboard and safety switch upgrades.
- Winchelsea sits on the Princes Highway at the Barwon River crossing. Its historic centre dates from the 1860s and 1870s, and rural-residential blocks have been developed around the town since the 1970s.
Our 24/7 emergency call-outs cover the whole Surf Coast, Anglesea and Winchelsea included.

What we do in every area
The same licensed team and the same standard of work go to every suburb on this page. The work we do across all of them includes:
- Electrical fault finding and repairs: power out in part of the house, tripping switches, dead power points and burning smells.
- Switchboard upgrades, including old fuse boards replaced with circuit breakers and safety switches.
- Safety switch (RCD) installs and testing.
- New and extra power points, including USB power points.
- Lighting: downlights, pendants and outdoor lights.
- Electrical safety checks for home owners, sellers and buyers, and for rented homes.
We also install smoke alarms, ceiling fans, EV chargers and TVs. The full list is on our services page. Every job is done by a licensed electrician under our REC 30925, with the Certificate of Electrical Safety the rules require, and is backed by our lifetime workmanship warranty.
How booking works
- Get in touch. Call 1300 025 555 or send us the details through our contact page.
- Tell us where and what. Your suburb, the job and anything you have noticed. A photo of your switchboard helps us bring the right parts.
- We book a time with you. We agree a time that suits, and we price the job once we have seen it, so you know the price before any work starts.
- The work is done and tested. You get the paperwork the job needs, and a clear explanation of what was done.
For a burning smell, sparks or a dead circuit you cannot reset, use our 24/7 emergency electrician line. If there is a fire or someone has had a shock, call 000 first. For a tingle from a tap or appliance, a street outage or wires down, call Powercor on 13 24 12 straight away.
If your suburb is not on the list
The list shows the suburbs and towns with their own page, not the edge of where we work. If you live between two of them, or in a smaller town nearby, call 1300 025 555. We will tell you honestly whether we can take the job.
