Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 October 2026

This policy explains how Cabledin Pty Ltd (ACN 653 126 973) as trustee for the C & J Caimano Unit Trust, trading as CabledIN Electrical Solutions (ABN 48 852 073 801), collects, uses, stores and shares personal information. It covers this website (cabledin.com.au), our quote pages at quote.cabledin.com.au, and enquiries you make by phone, email, text or form. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Information we collect

  • Contact and job details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, the address of the property, and what you need done.
  • Job and billing records: quotes, bookings, the work we carry out, photos of that work, invoices and payments.
  • Website usage information: the pages you visit, how you arrived at our site (for example a search engine, an ad, a link or a campaign tag), the buttons you use (such as call, email or quote), your device and browser, and your approximate location (to city level, from your IP address).

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information. Please do not include it in a message.

How we collect it

We collect information when you fill in a form on our website or quote pages, call, email or message us, book or receive a job, and when you use our website (through cookies and similar technologies, described below). If someone else books work at your property, such as a landlord, property manager or builder, they may give us your contact details.

How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and give you a quote
  • schedule, carry out and follow up work, and issue invoices
  • meet our legal obligations, including electrical safety certificates and records
  • understand how people find and use our website and our advertising, so we can improve them.

We only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

Our enquiry form

Our enquiry forms are provided by our customer relationship software, HighLevel (LeadConnector). When you send the form on this website, your details are saved in that system as a new enquiry, our team is notified, and you receive an automatic confirmation by email and text message. The form may use Google’s address lookup to help you enter your address, and spam protection.

Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure how our website is used. It starts when you first interact with a page (for example by scrolling or tapping) and sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, so a returning browser can be recognised. It records the website usage information described above, including when the enquiry form is sent and when a phone or email link is tapped, together with how you arrived. Our website does not send your name, email address or phone number to Google Analytics, and our settings keep user-level data for no more than 14 months.

Google signals. We have turned on Google signals. For visitors who are signed in to a Google account and have allowed ad personalisation, this lets Google combine our website data with that account to give us combined reports across devices. These reports do not identify you to us.

Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the website still works without them. You can also use Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, manage ad personalisation in My Ad Center, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Cloudflare. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and request details to deliver and protect the site. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.

Google Maps. Our contact page shows a map from Google Maps. It loads from Google and is covered by Google’s own privacy policy.

Our quote pages and advertising

Our quote pages at quote.cabledin.com.au support our advertising on Google, Facebook and Instagram. They use:

  • Google Ads conversion tracking, to measure which ads lead to enquiries. This includes enhanced conversions: when you send a form, a hashed (scrambled) copy of the email address, phone number and address you entered is sent to Google so it can match the enquiry to an ad click.
  • Google Ads call tracking, which can show a Google forwarding number to visitors who arrive from an ad and records details of the call, such as its time, its length and the caller’s area code, so we can see which ads lead to calls.
  • The Meta pixel, which records visits and actions on those pages so we can measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram.
  • A reviews display from Elfsight, which loads our Google reviews from Elfsight’s servers.

You can manage ads from Google in My Ad Center and ads from Meta in your Facebook ad preferences.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to do the work and run our business, with:

  • service providers who help us operate, such as our website host (Cloudflare), our customer relationship and enquiry system (HighLevel), our job management software (ServiceM8), our analytics and advertising providers (Google and Meta), and our accounting, IT and marketing providers, who may use it only for that purpose
  • Energy Safe Victoria and electricity distributors or retailers, where the law or the job requires it (for example certificates of electrical safety, and connection or metering requests)
  • anyone else you ask us to share it with, or where the law requires or allows it.

Information stored overseas

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. These include Google, Meta, Cloudflare, HighLevel and Elfsight.

Security and how long we keep it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls on the systems that hold it. We keep job and billing records for as long as the law requires (tax records, for example, for at least five years), and other information only for as long as we need it, then delete or de-identify it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, using the contact details below. We will respond within 30 days. If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact us first and we will work to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
